This is a long overdue post…I have so many new and exciting things to share about Stockton! He is getting to be such a big boy. He says so many words…
- Jesus (this is at the top because it is my favorite, and he says it about every ten minutes)
- Wah (Water)
- Ball
- Shoes
- Cracker (sometimes is sounds like caca, but he is getting closer!)
- Uh-oh
- Hi
- Bye
- Mama
- Dada
- Go
- Nana (Banana)
- Clap
About 2 months ago, he went though a two week phase where we would say “I…Love…” and he would yell “DAD!” It was just about the cutest thing ever. Now he is in a phase of patting us on the back when we hold him. It kills me! It is seriously the sweetest thing! He loves giving kisses, but you have to be dramatic “uh-muh!” He is obsessed with his Jazz bear. We call him Mr. Bear, and he will not go to sleep without him. Last night I figured out he cries at night if he can’t see him, or loses him in the bed. So I had to go in and find him, hand him to him, and he just hugged him and went back to sleep. Bear is his favorite to kiss (or bite actually. He is obsessed with biting the noses on his stuffed animals)
Stockton also has a lot of favorite foods. Of course, his favorite is crackers. Cheese crackers with peanut butter, and rosemary and olive oil triscuits. Go figure… He also loves frozen grapes, yogurt (the squeezables), any kind of pasta, and of course cookies, ice cream, candy, etc. Lately I’ve been limiting his sweets, with all his teeth coming in and as he’s getting bigger, I don’t want him to become addicted, but he likes so many other things, and he doesn’t ask for sweets, so I don’t worry so much.
Stockton is dying for a puppy and a bike. He loves animals, and he steals the neighbor kids bikes. I can’t wait to get him both! He also loves swimming, playing with the water hose, and water balloons. Funny thing is, he is not a bath fan. He screams for most of it, but he is starting to get a little better with them. He also loves sand, paint, coloring, screaming (this is his new thing, and sometimes he gets pretty scary!) He is such a good, friendly little guy. He will go with almost anyone, and he loves to snuggle. In fact, the past two days he has been my little snuggle bug. It’s so hard to be motivated to do things on those days. I hope this next baby is a snuggler too!
Speaking of which…We are almost 24 weeks along with baby boy #2! We are pretty set on a name, but every once in a while we lean towards another. We will see how it ends up. This pregnancy is way different than Stockton. First off, I have had a lot of morning sickness, and hardly any with Stockton. Cravings are way different, and I’ve had quite a lot of Braxton Hicks, which I never experienced with Stockton. My kidneys have been hurting here and there (if you didn’t know, I had hydronephrosis when I was pregnant with Stockton, which just means my kidneys didn’t drain the way they were supposed to, and it is such a painful thing!!) I have been lucky so far that it hasn’t been as bad as last time though. I also remember thinking I had the craziest baby when I was pregnant with Stockton, but this baby is WAY worse! He seriously moves like 18 hours out of the day! I even wake up in the middle of the night because of it sometimes. This past Sunday, We could feel his little foot sticking out of my side. It was so crazy! I can’t wait to meet this little guy and see what he looks like!
As far as me and Jesse are doing, we have been in Cedar, at our new jobs, for a month now, and we love it! Jesse is really enjoying his new job in Human Resources, and I am enjoying mine as a secretary as well. The hospital here is a LOT smaller than Utah Valley in Provo, but the atmosphere is nicer, more relaxed, and the people are really friendly. We definitely miss our friends, especially our ward. We miss them more than anything. We are hoping that the more we get to know people, the more friends we can make, and quick!
Hopefully I can start keeping up with this a little better now too!
